Victorian Felt Flower Mourning Wreath
$300
Unique and very rare Victorian wool flower mourning wreath. This wreath would have been used at a funeral or some such event and was preserved in a shadowbox to remember the loved one afterwards. During Victorian times wool flowers would be used in winter months for floral arrangements because fresh flowers would not be available in some places. The wool flowers are dyed in an array of beautiful colors. There is a velvet butterfly pinned in the center of the arrangement. The wreath comes in the original antique glass shadowbox and there is a wire on the back to hang on a wall. This is a museum quality piece for your home!
