Rare and exceptional dressing gown or nightgown circa 1870. It's made from a gridded cotton fabric with eyelet trims and bright blue silk ribbon bows throughout as well as a unique detail of gathered, gauze encased blur ribbon trim down the front. It has a sweeping train and narrow Watteau pleating at the back. Closes with buttons down the front. It has some age related flaws but overall in great antique condition and the fabric is strong. Wearable with care.
