Issey Miyake A-POC Set SS 1999
$1200
A rare sample from Issey Miyake's SS 1999 collection, this A-POC set includes a long-sleeve top, maxi skirt, bra top, knickers, mittens, knee socks, bag, cap, and an additional styling piece with 'Issey Miyake' spelled into textile. The intricate design of the textile includes spiral motifs throughout as well as images of small scissors on the arms, a reference to how the A-POC garments are cut out from a single piece of cloth. A true collector's item.
The A-POC line is an acronym for 'a piece of cloth'. Miyake founded the line in 1997 with Dai Fujiwara upon the concept of reducing textile waste by creating outfits from a single fused piece of knit fabric, making the garments also size flexible and customizable for the wearer.
