Franck Joseph Bastille Fishbone Two Piece Dress

$350

A two piece dress from very scarce French designer Franck Jospeh Bastille, who was known for his whimsical embroidered motifs, and playful surreal sense. This dress features two pieces, the under-dress and jacket, both in a babydoll, trapeze like style. It Is embroidered with fishbones and distressed throughout with bleach stains. It's made from a soft, bouncy almost swimsuit like material. He is known for his beautiful "Ghost of the Titanic" gown (1991) (see last image), which is in line with this piece thematically and I believe is from around the same time.
The dress is in very good condition with some wear to the shoulders of the under-dress. Bastille's work is incredibly rare and collectible, so it is priced accordingly.
