Antique Pleated Mobcap

An antique white cotton cap from 1800s France, possibly from the early 1900s. These types of hats were worn to cover the hair in domestic settings. The pleated edge provides some sun protection to the face and neck. It has diminutive drawstrings in the back that can cinch around the hairdo when tucked into the hat. It is in excellent condition apart from a couple tiny holes at the back, but overall the fabric is strong and wearable.
