Antique French Shadowbox Postcard

Late Victorian/ early 19th century exquisite three dimensional postcard encased in display box . It displays a mesermic iridescent die-cut butterfly with translucent green millinery berries and leaves, all ensconced in ivory silk ribbons. Such a luxurious postcard was probably part of a romantic gesture, a christening, or a wedding present. The back of the postcard is still blank and it is wonderfully preserved. A rare and beautiful artifact that will enhance any gift or boudoir display.
