A rare early 1900s undergarment, distinct from the more widely seen split-crotch underwear of the day. These bloomers are an example of the Dress Reform movement which sought to change the extremely prohibitive norma of Victorian women's clothing, promoting panatlons and bloomers for women. These feature a longer line, that they might have also been meant to peek out the bottom of a hem, and were designed for mobility, comfort, and utility. Made in a sturdy cotton fabric they are trimmed in a wide scalloped border of machine eyelet lace featuring crosses and flowers.
