1980s Vivienne Westwood Silk Jersey Satyr Tee

Amazing collector's item from Westwood's late 80s 'Britain Must Go Pagan' period (1987-1990). It's made from the most lightweight, luxe silk jersey fabric and has the image of the Satyr beautifully printed across the frontage. The Satyr is representative of unrestrained sensuality and utter decadence! During this period Westwood was obsessed with reimagining the Pagan origins of Britishness. It's beautifully cut, slightly tapered at the waist and longer in back. It is definitely pre-loved as its delicate fabric has some scattered snags and marks throughout. The hem has come slightly undone at the back (see photos). Reflected in price. Marked size L, but fits smaller. Made in England 100% Silk.
