1940s Striped Knit Dress with Chiffon Skirt

1940s striped knit rayon dress with chiffon skirt. The gown is composed of a vibrant and unusual blend of colors. The knit bodice is a mix of pinks and yellow stripes & the sweeping chiffon skirt is a pistachio green. The dress has dramatic shoulders with moulded shoulder pads and unique overlapping peekaboo sleeves. It zips up the size. The dress has a museum or collection deaccession tag. There is signs of wear on the dress and it is priced accordingly -- there is a hole in the armpit of one sleeve and staining on the skirt (see images). It is strong and wearable, apart from the area under the arm which should be patched.
