1880s light yellow/ cream colored velveteen mantle trimmed with silk chenille icicle fringe. The interior is fully lined in silk. The structure of the back has beautiful curvilinear paneling as is was intended to be worn in the era of the bustle- - it also has a little band inside which fastens around the waist to hold its shape in place over the skirt.

In near perfect condition. It's in strong and wearable condition with no holes or stains. This is a museum quality piece, perfectly preserved and appears virtually unworn. An amazing example of Victorian winter wear. One size fits all.
