Incredibly rare bodice dating to the 1860s. It has characteristic and dramatic bell sleeves made from a stunning, finely detailed French calico. It's cut high on the torso, above the natural waist. It has little epaulet details on the shoulders and are trimmed in delicate ecru lace, as well as the sleeves. The outer fabric is in strong condition, excellent for its age. The interior lining is in good condition but has some repairs near the hook an eye closure in the front.
