Stunning and rare late Victorian workwear dress with abstract vermicular print in black, vibrant pink and blue. "Vermincular" referred to a genre of printed textiles designs which emerged during the late 19th century which were inspired by the view under a microscope. The wrapper is made of cotton and in sturdy wearable condition. High neck, hook and eye closures, cinching sash at back and 3/4 length mutton sleeves.
