1800s Printed Fabric Slouchy Hat

A beautiful and rare textile dating to the 1860s. It has a background of subtle robin's egg blue with an unusual almost 'pixelated' floral motif throughout. It was sold to us as a hat but it might actually be a little sewing bag, nonetheless it looks fabulous styled as a slouchy hat! Some small holes and signs of its age, but overall the textile is strong. 100% cotton.
